I know everyone is on the bandwagon of protecting our players, etc; I’m not one of them.
Losing to that monkey-$hit organization is still infuriating.
As for our offense, has LaFluer ever heard of a screen or draw possibility against a defense that blitzes on every play?
I’m curious to see Cox and Oliver more. Sorrell plays with passion. Ford helps.
Go Packers!!! Bear down…

I think we should at least cap the end of a 49th year with no Super Bowl in Minnesota in the voice that ends every one of their seasons.

I'm okay with the forfeit, but LaFleur needs to have his team ready to play next week. Another lay down like they did against Baltimore and LaFleur is going to have lots of questions about his job.

Regardless of what happens, I don't see MLF in any chance of losing his job. Policy has already come out and said he's thrilled the Packers went 9-7-1 this season. Just above average is perfectly acceptable.

Word was that neither Bullard nor Melton had to leave the sideline after their injuries, so they're probably not serious.

Bottom line is that there aren't enough actives for you to not have to play some of your 1s over the course of a game.

This game was a total embarrassment.....If the 3rd string QB isn't allowed to pass (3 out of 5) in the first half the last drive with an opportunity to score a touchdown & the coach calls running plays to set up a field goal......is pathetic!

Morgan sucked at left tackle, as did the entire offensive line.....Butkus should be gone after the season.

Positives? NONE from this game!

Hafley playing soft zone for the game is a joke & blaming injuries is an excuse as the defense couldn't get off the field in critical situations for the whole season. Its funny how the Seattle Seahawks had a sucking defense last year & then they have a dominate defense this year.....is it Lafleur? is it Hafley? is it Gutekunst ? or all three. To go into this season with the deficiencies on the defensive line (it's been that way for over a decade) is criminal. To go into the season with the cornerbacks (Alexander was never coming back & should have been released sooner) and not addressing it sooner with a veteran help is pathetic! Oh and special teams? WOW at the bottom of the league again....the Seahawks went out and got Shaheed at the trade deadline.....what did Green Bay do? NOTHING!!!!

While I don't often post, I believe it is time for some major changes after the season is over.
1) Get rid of Gary....most over paid edge rusher in the league and has been a total lack of effort the whole year.
2) Get rid of Jenkins.....under performed for the season prior to his season ending injury....over paid!
3) Get rid of Hobbs and his bloated salary.
4) Draft a stud defensive linemen or sign one in free agency....Jerran Reed was on our team & yet we didn't sign him & he has balled out for the Seahawks as has Lawrence! Being the youngest team every year is a joke.
5) Coach an attitude and quit being a soft team that gets bullied in the trenches.
6) Start using Kraft & Golden more.
7) Quit reaching on Draft choices.....Morgan, LVN, Stokes, Walker, Wyatt (injured every year), Gary, Savage.....None are all pro's or Allstars!

Rant over.

1- probably happening
2- probably happening even if he performed given the cap hit. Retrospectively the move to center was a bust
3- signing didn’t work out but he was hurt much of the year and isn’t really a boundary guy where he was playing
4- hard to do drafting in the twenties and no cap space to add. Interior was weakened trading Clark but for MP? Hell yeah.
5-probably needs a change in draft philosophy as much as coaching
6-seriously? Kraft was the offense early in year and is on IR with an ACL. Golden was used like our rookie WR usually are. See stats for Cobb and Adams rookie years.
7- see #5

No matter what you want to blame this 4 game losing streak on....injuries, play calling, poor execution, bad play, player mistakes, poor coaching, the refs, it doesn't matter, in the big picture to Gute, and MLF.

The bottom line, is if the Packers finish 0-5 with a loss to the Bears or Eagles,
Gute and MLF must be thinking...oh shit.

Not saying they will be fired, but....stranger things have happened.

How far back do we have to go to find the Packers losing 5 games in a row?

I don't think it's strange at all that either Gutey and/or LaFleur get fired if they lose 5 in a row. It will tell us a lot of who Ed Policy is, that is for sure. Old Mark Murphy would not have fired either of them because he didn't believe in accountability beyond the player level. So, let's hope that Policy is not just another MM and will be more of a REAL President of a football team...

Many of us fans want to see a dominant team sooner than later. This 7th seed football product is not good enough.

Mean nothing game completed. But negative passing yardage? I realize Tune is a 3rd stringer at best, but my god!

3rd straight season with 7th seed playoff positioning. I know all the well heeled fans will excuse the organization over the injuries this season but what about the 2 before? It's becoming more than obvious - even for comfy GB executives/fans- that the Love-Lafleur-Gutenkunst regime will never get us over this hump.

I'd love to see LaFleur and Love get some playoff success but is it likely? But should even a win in the playoffs secure the jobs of either LaFleur or Gutekunst next year?

I feel for LaFleur. He's trying to make do with the on-again, off-again decision-making of his GM. And it's the same every season. He has little or no urgency. And lets not even mention his high draft pick failures. Wonder why Rodgets left? A GM/President combo (with Mark Murphy) that made bad, bad football decisions with the poor HC holding the bag! Relieving a coach because of bad football executive decisions is not warranted.
Relieving a GM who is not a good football mind is!

Final question- how many offers would LaFleur get on the open market vs Gutekunst? 9 vs 0? Well, maybe the Jets would look at Gutekunst, lol! Sarcasm indeed.

What did we learn from this game?
1. When LaF decides he's going to mail one in, he means it.
2. Brooks and Wilson played hard carrying the ball behind an OL that we could never would do much against Flores' front 7.
3. When Malik Willis leaves, the Packers need to be looking hard for a playable backup because Clayton Tune sure didn't look like one.
4. Defensive reserves played with heart. Good looks at Sorrell, Oliver, and Oladapo. Even with a hideous disparity in TOP and snaps playing against MN's 1s, the Vikings could still only manage 16 points against the defense.
5. Either McCarthy's hand really was bothering him, or Kwesi and O'Connell have to be feeling pretty nervous about their QB situation.

I agree most of what dobber said also.

But i can't dish on Clayton Tune.
Lets look at this.....

Tune is called up from the Packers practice squad 5 days ago.
He has 27 pass attempts in his NFL career.
Then he's told he's going to start a game against the vikings defense with 5 days to prepare.
Without a good number of Packer offensive starters no less.
What did we expect him to do?

I mean, c'mon man.
This dude was set up to fail.
He knew it.
LaFleur knew it,
And we knew it.

Dude got thrown into a den of wolves.

It obvious that the line play on both sides of the ball needs to be improved. There's a lot of swing and miss in the draft for the Packers when it comes to linemen. Too many times they're overlooking guys who were available who then go to other teams and play well. I also wonder how much is coaching, both O and D lines. It would seem as though they get guys they're high on when they pick/sign them that just are mediocre. Why?

I'll never understand this perspective on the Packers.

In a for-profit league, where 31 of 32 teams are privately owned, for-profit businesses that are run for the primary goal of generating profits, that would be a likely motivation.

However, for the only publicly held, not-for-profit team in the league, for a team with a literal 30 year long waiting list for season tickets, it's a completely unaware take. Whereas 31 other teams concern themselves with sales and profits as the sole motivating factor, the only motivation for Packers' decision making is to attempt to win football games.

Preach.

Since Lombardi's arrival in 1959, one of the least of the Packers concerns were to "fill the seats". It's pretty much a given regardless of their record. Which leaves what? Oh yeah...winning games.

That GB doesn't care about winning Super Bowls as long as they fill the seats is such an ill informed narrative, it barely deserves a response.

Another ridiculous narrative. The Packers org is more focused on the sled hill than winning games.

Yes, dipshit, and there's a great reason for that.

Packers are in the NFL's smallest market. Quite literally, the Packers would be unable to compete or even exist if the NFL were to ever do away with, or significantly restructure, the shared broadcasting revenue system that is currently in place- and guess what? There's owners who actively lobby for that to happen.

Packers create revenue streams to ensure their viability for the future. Because the Packers are a not-for-profit, excess profits go to two places- a fund for future need (see above), and the rest goes back into the communities around the state via the Packers various charity organizations and gifting.

How are so many Packers fans so ignorant of all the core principles that make the Packers such a unique and great organization?

0 points
0
0
LeotisHarris's picture

January 04, 2026 at 07:57 pm

In addition, NFL playoff ticket revenue is split equally among all 32 teams. Home teams in some cases lose money on home playoff games because operating costs outweigh revenue from the socialist entity that is the NFL (thanks, Pete Rozelle). But, if there are places for fans to spend money in and around the stadium, well, then those costs offset. As always, the major revenue stream for all teams comes from broadcast rights, cut 32 ways.

Billionaire owners can field teams that suck and still add to their wealth. Lambeau is a special place, and the Packers are a unique organization. I don't think any of the stewards at 1265 take those facts for granted.

Packers IMO are not a good team. Tied with a Dallas team that sucked, almost lost to Jamais who also sucks, almost lost to Jo over the hill Falacco. Those three loses and that's who this team really is talent wise. Eked out wins against crappy teams.
I expect nothing in the playoffs.. I expect even less next season.
Unless Gary and LVN can save us .lol

It must hurt inside to know your football season ended a couple of hours ago.
Poor guy, you don't even have hope for another 4 months.

I really liked our potential match up against the Bears - but not going to happen. We should have beaten them twice - except for the botched onside kick. Now in watching these backup QB's I think that Willis might be able to command big bucks and a starter agreement. If not I am concerned about Love - we better spend some money on the Oline. Good money not bad - Jenks has one more year - but maybe not at center. Resign Ryan - Get rid of the Offensive Line co-ordinator Butkus- not developing players and if Strenavich cannot do both jobs place him with a more offensively minded experienced person - these 3rd and 1 stonewalled. I also believe that since we are not paying for a first round draft pick we probably have the extra 8 million plus - 33 million if we cut or renegotiate Diggs

Daniel Whelan gets the only game ball this week. No point discussing this waste of time game or effort. Thanks, Since '61

Yea....the silliness is over.

Lets clean up the toys, and start getting back to a real football team serious about winning.

Burp....your toys are still lying around, lets pick up those Legos before someone trips and gets hurt.

A lot of negative comments here and it's easy to agree with them...
However, if the Packers kick the Bears butts next week, I will have a renewed outlook and will likely be back to unrealistic optimistic self.
