Gut Reaction: we have a Quarterback, Malik did an outstanding job.
Gut Reaction: we have NO Defensive talent, NONE.
Gut Reaction: We are in the playoffs, yippy, we are nothing more than a speed-bump to whoever we play without a mountain of luck.
Gut Reaction: 2025 season is toast.

I focused on Quay all game because so many fans in here seem to love him. I got news for you, he’s worthless. Looks like he’s never played football before. Runs to the wrong spot, can’t avoid blocks, misses tackles, takes horrible angles. If there is a bad trait in a player, he has it.

Piss poor effort by Packers Defense. Did not seem that they wanted to be out there tonight. Low energy, effort or toughness
This game was the realization of years of poor drafting and misses in FA, particularly in the trenches. Spending premium picks on high RAS guys with little production in college has come to bear with the lackluster trenches.
It is really bad to have this to be our CB room without any trading or anything to fix the room.
Absolutely no reason for this team to have this poor a defence other than Micah Parsons.
I would furthermore search and check the trade value of Love. Malik Willis has good fundamentals and fit MLF system well

Same old, same old. It was embarrassing, again. Quay Walker looked like a pinball.
Walkers performance was pathetic. Middle linebacker that’s invisible.
The highlight of the last seven seasons was upsetting Dallas in 2023.
This team needs a lot of players at many positions.
And they better get a good player with that second round pick. Maybe draft the Wizard of Oz. Perhaps he could give the defense some courage. The

19 min and 44 plays, you will not get many wins.
Willis can get big plays, but he can't keep the Offense on the field for long drives.
The Willis/MLF Offense kills your own Defense.
Lucky, the Raven Defense is offensive.
Ravens are lucky the GB Defense is more offensive.
No, Parsons wouldn't have made a big enough difference tonight.
Hafley did a half-way, half-ass job.
The amount of issues this team has should have thinking about 2030 as the next possible year of contending.
Is it a rebuild or retool?
How can a Love extension be considered in two years when the masses are chanting Willis.
The starters will rest next week, thankfully, to only come back and play like they're still resting, regardless of opponent.

Really, Taryn?
I have no idea how anyone could find much, if any, legitimate fault in Willis' performance last night!
If scoring 'too fast' is a problem for you, record the game, and play it back later in slow motion. Try thinking about what it might have looked like without him! Tell me about his 'Poor' throws, I must have missed them.
This was just another example of LaFluke not getting his players up for the 'Big Game'. Its been one of his trademarks all along!

Incoming rant warning:
Injuries are a part of the game, but they're becoming too much for GB to overcome. The DL is constantly getting pushed around and bullied. There is virtually no pass rush. The cornerbacks were never meant to be the strong point of the defense, they were supposed to cover long enough for the pass rush to get home. The DC is either unwilling or incapable of loading the box with big lineman on early downs and teams are absolutely feasting on GB's DL because of it. 4-3 is absolutely not the answer against 5-6 lineman with multiple TE's/FB's on the field. It's especially not the answer when our IDL are among the worst run defenders in the league and are barely 300lbs. Stackhouse was inactive again tonight and it's honestly baffling seeing as how GB can't have enough big guys, ESPECIALLY against run heavy teams. This is the third game this season that the game plan should have been "STOP THE RUN" and let the inexperienced QB try to beat you. It didn't happen, whether it was Hafley, the the execution or the players just looking lost out there but the defense was absolutely pathetic. I think they have one true sack in the last 4 games. I knew Parsons going down was going to hurt, but the fact that Gary hasn't had a sack in, what, 9 straight games now? Inexcusable. The dude is absolutely going to miss double digit sacks yet again, despite having 7.5 sacks over the first 7 games this season. Oh yeah, and the offensive line was pitiful too. Shotgun runs on short yardage downs haven't worked all year, but sure, let's run another on a critical 4th and 1 on your own side of the field. What is it going to take for MLF to stop calling that garbage? Someone has to show him the conversion rate for the year for shotgun runs in short yardage situations because there is 0% chance it's anywhere near 50% and it absolutely has to stop. Also, when Willis left I said to myself "this guy's first pass is going to be a pick-6" and sure enough it was an awful pass that was wobbly and dropped. Malik Willis and Christian Watson were the only guys that came to play today. Shame on everyone else. 3 straight losses, getting destroyed at home in the last game of the season, letting the Bears seal the North without them even having to play this weekend, oh, and who could possibly forget, another loss without a punt. This absolutely sucks.
I will support the team but I have no faith that we can compete this year with all of the injuries. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Go pack go. 😔

Sooner or later you have to ask yourself where the buck stops with this team. Where does the character, effort, focus, discipline of this team come from? Every week you can point to this player did or didn't do this or this position group did or didn't do that. Why is that? Why are the same breakdowns continual and consistent? Why is the game plan of the opposition known to the entire fan base, but is oblivious to this team? Is it really parity to lose to a team that has only won 3 games, one that has won only 7, and a couple that have won 8? Is past success really relevant to this year? Is the goal of perfection in all three phases of the game so unrealistic that they just concede it won't be, so it won't be belabored? Lip serviced, but not attacked and held accountable?
Knee jerk gut reactions or uncomfortable truths?
Tik tok, tik tok.

Hate to say it but I called it last week. Ie. seems like prime time for MLF to lay a dud.
Clearly more on Hafley this game but you have to think that they agreed on the plan.
Even though Love is playing good, Willis simply is the better passer. He's going to get a nice well deserved contract.
It is just a prayer that this teams goes anywhere in the playoffs. We might even lose next week to Vikings as we will be resting anybody who needs it. And if we lose in the first round, that will end the season with 5 loses in a row. Just embarrassing. Are the players this bad or is the coaching this bad?

December 28, 2025 at 04:55 am
They are soft. They basically stopped playing in Denver as soon as Watson got hurt.. as if they were traumatized.
Bad in game decisions, bad contracts, refusal to move off certain players, slowest developing draft picks in the league ( for years) bad drafting,
Why would contract extensions for the HC & GM be a given?
It’s not Parsons injury. They lost to Cleveland and couldn’t beat Dallas with him.
There are also too many “ milk carton” packers… as in have you seen this missing person: Golden, Walker, Gary, Musgrave, both lines, etc , etc.
To think this team will be any better in 2026 is just delusional. There are too many improving teams in the NFC that play solid , opportunistic defense. And if the Packers had a suffocating defense, the offense would probably disappear. It’s just the way it is in the LeFluer era.

Im gonna say this anyway. Its not a gut reaction, it's a theme. Ive been saying this for 3 years: " we will never win a superbowl with MLF as our head coach". Its not that i dislike the guy, it's that he consistently shows up with flat teams in games they should absolutely win. Not sure why, it's just an observation that can't be ignored. All the MLF ball lickers will defend him with quotes like " these are professional players, it's on them" or " he's not the defensive coach" etc. All correct, however, he is the HEAD coach and ultimately responsible for the entire team. Just my opinion. Just a backseat observation. Some men are leaders; some are leader assistants. MLF, in my opinion is the latter.

Hard to do when your coach calls 7 running plays for 18 yards, mostly in garbage time to Wilson.
Speaking of which...Jacobs 4 carries for 3 yards? Average per is .08 yards with a long of 1 yard?
Someone explain this to me.....please.
Is Jacobs that injured, that has to be it....right?
How come Wilson only got carries in the 4th quarter in garbage time?

The problem with the Packers started about 7 or 8 years ago with Mark Murphy when he changed the management structure and made himself in charge of football operations. That is why we have both Guntekunst and LaFluer. 2 guys who have no business being in the positions they are in.
They were hired because Murphy wanted the Packers to stay relevant NOT win championships and the only way that could happen was if he could control the football operations.
Being relevant every year sells tickets and brings in guaranteed money every year.
Eliot Wolf should've been our GM but Murphy knew that Wolf would never agree to not being in charge so he hired Gutey instead.
He hired MLF because he was the only coach that would accept the position structure as it is and he's a pushover. He's not a leader of men.
With both his guys in place and him in charge, Murphy knew that the Packers would stay relevant enough to bring in money but most likely never win a championship. But when you win enough to go to the playoffs you don't need to win championships because fans will still come to the games and still spend money.
It's year 8 for Gutey and year 7 for MLF and not either has been to a Superbowl with a QB playing at an MVP level at one point.
Not to mention we see the same stuff plaguing this team every year and every year it's a different excuse, inquiries... Youngest team... Bad defense... Whatever we can come up with, a pass is given to both Gutey and MLF.
GB will never win a championship with the current power structure or the current GM COACH. They can be relevant enough to sell tickets but not win it all.
The real problem is this: will Ed Policy keep the structure as is and continue with same old same old, or will he have the nuts to change it to how it should be and get a GM who then gets a coach knowing full well it could lead GB to a Superbowl or lead them to the dumps??
Getting to the top takes risk, something Murphy didn't do when he took over all football operations and we're still paying for it.

Your analysis is spot on. I knew Eliot since he was a little kid. He was destined to be a SB winning GM. I was shocked when they passed him up for Gutekunst.
He’s the head of personnel for the 13-3 Patriots. We missed our chance for him, he will be there for another twenty years and probably win 2-3 SBs.
MLF is getting most of the heat, but I think it’s mostly Gutekunst’s fault.

If the Vikings play defense like they did this past Thursday against the Lions, the Packers are going to have a 4 game losing streak going into Wildcard Weekend. My guess is the losing streak reaches 5 games once the playoffs start.
No All-Pros other than the guy we traded two 1st round picks for. Constantly drafting RAS scores INSTEAD of Football Players, and getting punched in the mouth AGAIN by a more physical team. Did anyone other than Mark Tauscher NOT see this coming?
I just hope Ed Policy has the stones to make the changes. THIS team with THIS coaching staff and THIS General Manager, aren't winning any SB's anytime soon.
Just like that, another Packers season going down the drain. They may have a couple more games to play but I have ZERO confidence in my hero's from GB anymore. Fool me once shame on you, fool me 767 times shame on me!

@RealTalkRyan laid it out beautifully.
Yes, the mediocrity started in 2018 with Murphy 's power grab. He hired average men whom he could control, Gute, MLF AND Policy. He could size up weak men within 20 minutes during a coffee meeting.
Murphy is a 'young' 70 y/o and only had to retire from the Packers but there is no way he retired from his influence in Titletown and Policy is a Titletown guy who likely remains under M's control. Murphy doesn't want to deal w/a strong GM.
Policy has strong ties to Green Bay and Titletown and he would have to extricate himself from that web, stand alone
and possibly face ostracization if he over-rode Murphy and hired a real GM.

You correct but for the wrong reason. He hired guys who came cheap. Gutt? Who the hell is Gutt? LeFluer, never a head coach always a back up but he came cheap with promiss or so they say.
Cheap ball was what Murphy was charged with. Put a team together and make sure we have a profit and stay in business. For seven years he did that and for 7 years we had a none super bowl team that lacked talent

I love the commentary here its wide and interesting. I do feel for the packer fans who bleed green and gold. My take on all this is different but hopefully presents a different prospective that may explain a lot of everyones frustration.
First some of you may remember Ketchum, sports analyst from Milwaukee. He had a call in show and wrote for one of the papers (retired now). He would answer questions about the packers from fans.
One question asked was "why dont the packers ever draft a top DE in round one". They never take top defenders who could be available with a bundle to fill a spot needed.
His answer and the answer to most of your frustrations " The packers are a small market team and they avoid DE's in the first round and top safeties, corners because they will command TO MUCH MONEY.
Ya thinking about that this team has a secondary of no bodies who cant cover a fly stuck to fly paper.
The thing is these no bodies COME CHEAP. There thats your answer. Oh we pay big money to a couple of players like Gary who Gutt took at 12 and was a waste of a pick but we paid him money as if he were a top pass rusher. He has never been that and isnt even an avg pass rusher. But he was Gutt's guy and everything is about making the boss happy.
Wilson has out run Jacobs all year but he sits at the two spot because Jacobs is Gutts guy and we have to kee Gutt happy he signs the pay checks.
Going forward if you look at this team as Money Ball, cheap acquisitions in key places, coaches like Bassacia most teams wouldnt take, coveting undrafteds like no one else and loving practive squad playerss then all your questions are answered. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

Thus was an embarrassing loss for the Packers. The defense was blown off the field by the Ravens OL. The only run game game for the Packers was runs by Willis.
The Packers lost both sides of the LOS. They cannot defeat a team which plays physical football. This has been true going all the way to the TT/McCarthy era. Specifically after the 2010 SB.
I have been posting for years that the Packers have systemic problems within the organization and those issues were exposed yet again in last night’s game. Some specific examples include DL and OL draft selection, coaching decisions, team discipline and motivation among many others.
Ed Policy has some serious decisions to make about management structure, GM and HC in the off season, especially if the Packers finish 0-5. The team we watched last night is not a playoff level team. Willis, Watson, Doubs, Cooper were among the few bright spots on the field last evening.
I’m not sure where the Packers go from here.
Thanks, Since ‘61

Right-our physicality is seriously lacking—for years, as you said.
Jacobs and Kraft are the only two I consider physical warriors. Rashan Gary, who I lobbied for, seems to have zero impact.
