How any fan older then 10 would expect big spending in free agency be the Packers is sadly laughable.
Your not getting any top candidates they want to be paid with real money not take less for the packer glory.
This team again this year, getting tiring, needs a lot. O line is avg, run game is okay, pass d is a d minus, pass rush, you can't afford a pass rush.

You had me at “older then”, but then you really demolished it by following up with “Your not getting”; well played, sir!

Geez, they just signed TWO top free agents last year- McKinney and Jacobs. Both were excellent acquisitions.
It's a new philosophy since the Ted Thompson era. Gutekunst has assembled a talented, young roster since taking over the Front Office.
This team is close. Add a couple more solid veterans and have another good draft, and they can make the next step.

Maybe something your parents neglected to teach you: Its not how much you spend, it the ROI following the investments.

Last week an article detailed NFL team $ investments in Free Agency during the Gutekuenst era. The Packers were among the teams with the least invested.

They were also near the top on the ROI with FA acquisitions, regardless of what was spent! And this is by far more important metric.

Team Gutey has been very good adding proven, valuable, and synergistic FA talent with wise investments generating excellent ROI results.

The #6 Defense in the NFL has a D-pass rush? Shallow analysis. Packers get pressure...casual fans only look at sacks, only one part of the pass D. INTs are better than sacks. Packers were #3 in INTs...#2 in INT return yards.

I think this was an excellent day for our team. Banks improves our offensive line and nothing good happens on offense unless people get blocked. Hobbs is good deal at $12M. He tackles. He's a good defender to have on the field.

As it stands at this moment, our CB room is Nixon, Valentine, Hobbs, King, and Alexander. I expect Alexander to be traded or released post Jun1.

I believe Gutey is better at free agency than drafting; he’s made several impressive FA moves in the past. I’m not upset with these two players, but after begging for a marquee DE, I can’t help but feel somewhat disappointed.
Oh well—bring on the draft.
Go Packer!!!

I don’t know if Gute did well or not since I don’t know either of these guys. However, it’s good to see him out there trying to improve the team rather than just running it back with the same old JAGs.
