If GB head office is truly wanting a Super Bowl...This is exactly THE trade that has to happen. Followed by an Elite FA WR1 and we're looking pretty good for 2025 deep playoff push. If either happens I'LL say Gute is somewhat serious and both= we're all-in.

Have to give up Gary and probably some high picks. Browns aren't going to move him for nothing.

Gary is out of this equation. Cleveland is gnashing their teeth in the burning pits of cap hell and will be for a while. Not just regular cap hell. There is no way they do player for player type trading here where the players are regarded as near peers. Gary is expensive (some would say overpaid) so he would give Cleveland no salary cap relief at all.
Cleveland, if they do this deal, needs to shed the big money and bring in players still on rookie type deals, or gather draft picks for a rebuild effort which will take them years to correct. They need cheaper bodies and many of them. Think of players on rookie deals who show maybe some promise as being entertained for this type of move because they don't want to take some low to middling guy a team wants to be rid of as well.

Good vet to have around, but won't take the top off the defense. Money could get spent better elsewhere

Once in a lifetime talent. Make that 3rd in a lifetime along with Reggie and Woodson. You could even stick a Favre in there, but I think he's Hall of Fame worthy and franchise changing but needed the team around him (Doesn't everyone?).
I learned yesterday on the radio that Garrett has more 14 + sack seasons in a row than anyone since they started counting. That's impressive considering Cleavland probably doesn't play with a lead very often.

Its a no brainer but I'm not sure if Gute can make it happen.... What Gute lacks in drafting he can make up for it in Free Agency. Otherwise Gute needs to go...!!!!!!!!

Great water cooler talk but this isn't a reality when they have paid Gary and Love big contracts.

Question # 1: Does Garrett even want to come to Green Bay? #2: What's Cleveland's asking price? #3: Even if the Packers want him what do they have to give the Browns that beats any other offers they may receive?
Unlike the Reggie White, Charles Woodson or Julius Peppers situations this is a trade, not free agency. The Packers didn't have to give another club anything in return for those guys.
I suppose the Packers could consider Garrett worth one or even two first round picks, if they are thinking of using a first rounder on a edge rusher, who will in any case be an unknown to start. They'll be picking 23rd this year and presumably in the 20's again next year so that capital might be acceptable. But would Cleveland count late first rounder(s) fair return for their asset?
Gutey should certainly look into it but I think it's a wish for the Packers to bring Garrett over and you don't always get what you wish for.

Given the recent history of 1st round picks, how could 2 1st's be out of the question? Maybe add in Willis or Musgrave.
