Packer Defense seems disorganized

New system, depth players, some of that should be expected. I’m more concerned about the O, in particular the O Line both in its approach and player usage. The D is likely to take a while to settle and I suspect is deliberately showing the eagles nothing.,

Hey Aaron! Lifetime Packer fan and recent NY resident (moved to be close to our kids). Thanks for all you do! Go Pack Go!

Funny how people were killing Dillon last week. So far Wilson is going nowhere. The Packers Oline is getting zero push. No holes to run through.

That's one of my main concerns- our OL and especially running the ball.

LOL I was coming here to say same thing. When Dillon was running into walls and Wilson was tearing up 3rd stringers everyone wanted to get rid of Dillon (just like early last year). What will they say now when Wilson was running into walls and looked useless?

Given the OL play, I think Wilson came out of this very well.
He had the longest passing play and arguably the best catch of the night: an 11-yard one-handed catch on a poorly thrown screen.
He also had the longest run by some way: a 22-yard run.
Perhaps as significantly, he kept falling forward even when swamped at the line and delivered some significant pass protection blocks on blitz attempts.
Wilson for me was one of the winners both in performance and attitude. I don’t see Dillon making that catch, or breaking that run. Wilson may not have got a great YPC, but I think he should have significantly strengthened his case to be the number 2.

100% agree. Though I did not blame Dillon too much last week.

Nags- Since you are rich and famous now, can you pay my way to Brazil so I can go to the game?

I wasn’t expecting regular season effort but… sure looks like LaFleur is happy handing off up the middle and let the clock run. That inside handoff was to a guy who will be bagging groceries in a few weeks. I don’t even see evaluation speed tonight. Why are we even playing these games then?

4 days at 20k elevation. Tired and time to go home. Players get hurt when they are tired. The less we do in this useless game the better.

Beside myself with worry because Weasel Boy Sean Payton and Vance Joseph have put together a blueprint for the rest of the league to beat our nonstarters. We're doomed!

*best Troy Aikman voice* I tell you what, partner, Brenton Cox has been a one-man wrecking crew out there tonight for the Packers. Reminds me of a young Chris Gizzi.

I checked in for a minute to see if my preseason projection was still going to play. Bo Nix will have a better year than Caleb Williams. Of this I am sure.

Like Nix. Tall, strong arm, intelligent, cool name. Denver done well, they have their guy for years to come.

It's not all doom and gloom. On the bright side, packers won the time of possession battle in first half by 6 seconds!

It's funny to listen to this guy troll Nix on the ONE incomplete pass he threw. And he is right, preseason results don't matter....but don't tell me the joint practice....where by all accounts, the Broncos dominated the Pack on both sides of the ball....didn't matter to those players. Just listen to Josh Jacobs afterward. Oh, and the broncos beat u guys at home last year as well.

Actually writers who were there said it was 50/50. Packers seemed to have their way the first half of practices with Denver finishing strong the back half. Not sure where your getting your info.

I'm burying my head in the sand until Brazil.
I will say I am concerned, though, that Denver had their way with our '1's' as well during practice several days ago.

Lets see if I got the math correct. Let me know if I'm wrong. We got 90 people on the team now and have to be at 53 in a few weeks. So we need to shed like 37 people. Seems like we had just about that number play tonight so its kind of going to be easy: you cut the 37 who played tonight except Clifford and you got it.
Sure Denver did play some starters for part of the game but the three QB's are all new and looked pretty decent except Wilson. So either Denver has a great second and third string and we have a second and third string that ant play pass defense or run defense for that matter or run block.
Cant blame that later really, no back other then McQuery showed any accleration to the hole.
Wilson didnt do anything. He tried running wide once and ya that dont work with his speed.
Note: LIons, Vikes and Bears all won and played some starters but not all. Some of their stars sat as well but the key, they won with second stringers and some third stringers. We got 2 points

I did to much slo-mo tonight….we have a sorry excuse for backup tackles.
Hope we find a decent tackle in the cuts!
