Brian Gutekunst doesn't say a whole lot but it's always good to see him

The Packers general manager offered no new updates on the Aaron Rodgers situation or his football team in general.

Brian Gutekunst spoke with the asembled media at the NFL Combine here in Indianapolis earlier this afternoon but didn't say much.

On the looming decision from Aaron Rodgers and his process:

“I do think, specifically with Aaron, he’s got a very tough process that he goes through to get himself ready to play every season. It’s a big commitment, and he’s done that for a long time, and it certainly shows in the results. I think he feels he needs to do that to be ready to play at the level he plays at. So I know that weighs on him, but I think he’s oing through that now.”

Gutekunst also had a fun back and forth with Spoon regarding interest in his QB:

In non-quarterback stuff, I asked Gutekunst about the recent trend of coaching staffs staying away from the Combine:

Of course, Gutey was asked about the situation with Davante Adams. He made clear it's a separate thing from his QB:

"Those two situations are completely different. They’re two different players, two different situations. Both great in their own right and we were lucky to have them. Hopefully we’ll be able to have them both moving forward, but they’re separate.

He also expressed some mild excitement for next season's trip to London, but did acknowledge that fans, and apparently a number of his friends and family, are very excited about it:

If it is thruth that no GMs asking for trade possibilities regarding Packers Diva, what that tells you?

I say nobody wants him on the team. Why? It may be several reasons, but main reason might be his public humiliation speach about franchise which made him what he is now. No one would take that kind of ingrate under the roof.

That also means he can only play for Packers or retire. Isn't that situation similar to the situation with BF? Of course, it is.

But we need to wait AR decision. Lucky part is that this saga will be over soon.

Oh the spin!

I can see Gutey, Ball, Murphy & MLF meeting multiple times weekly to discuss options and different scenarios. Plus, being handcuffed in dealing with contracts until Rodgers makes his decision. Smart move putting Rodgers in control.

Then Rodgers and his agent in frequent contact who in turn are in constant contact with Adam's and his agent.

This convoluted mess back and forth with proposals and counter proposals. Then Gutey calmly stands up in front of microphone making everything seem calm and business as normal. LOL! You have to admit if you search hard enough there is some humor there. Spin....spin....spin! We will see how all this turns out soon enough!
