Last week, I blogged about San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Singletary's scheduled trip to London, England to help promote the team's October 31 game against the Denver Broncos in Wembley Stadium.

Singletary was to be joined by a player, who at the time, was unidentified. Thanks to Twitter, we now know that player is Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis.

"On my way to London so that I can represent my family (red and gold) by doing a media tour for our up coming game," Davis tweeted this morning.

On October 26, 2008, would anyone have thought that Singletary and Davis would be touring London together?
