Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Maurice Purify was arrested after an incident at Jefferson Hall in Newport, Kentucky, early this morning and has been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, Jennifer Baker of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Purify was booked into Campbell County jail at 2:16am, and was released on $80 bond. The reason for Purify's arrest was not made available by authorities.
Signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska in 2008, Purify (6-3, 226) has not caught an NFL pass in his five games in the NFL. Purify totaled six special teams tackles in 2009, his first NFL action after spending most of the last two seasons on the Bengals' practice squad.
