Tim Smith/NY Daily News Lose The Plot
I find it more than a little hilarious that on the same page where the Daily News runs a column extolling the virtues of non-discriminatory practices in a professional organization, the paper/website has no problem running a picture of a professional model with a caption reducing her to little more than a trophy.

It's not enough that the Daily News ran Tim Smith's recent column applauding the horrible idea of extending the so-called Rooney Rule to the hiring of General Managers (and yes, it is a horrible idea, as is the original rule) but I find it more than a little hilarious that on the same page where the Daily News runs a column extolling the virtues of non-discriminatory practices in a professional organization, the paper/website has no problem running a picture of a professional model with the following caption:
Gratuitous photo of the week: Mark Sanchez has taken his first step toward The Score Hall of Fame by reportedly pulling model Hilary Rhoda from his GQ photoshoot and adding her to his trophy case.
So let me get this straight. For the News, it's alright to reduce a woman to nothing more than a trophy, but if an NFL owner doesn't want to interview an African-American candidate for his clubs' General Manager job, well, that's more than Smith's moral compass can tolerate. No, it's not even close to a real 'double standard', I just love the selective sensitivities.
