The Minnesota Vikings announced the signing of free agent wide receiver Javon Walker.

Running back Ryan Moats has been waived.

Walker (6-3, 215) has caught 267 passes for 4,011 yards and 31 touchdowns during an 8-year career with the Green Bay Packers (2002-05), Denver Broncos (2006-07) and Oakland Raiders (2008-09). 20 of Walker's 31 touchdown receptions were on passes thrown by Vikings quarterback Brett Favre.

Walker missed all but one game in 2005 with a torn ACL, and was traded to the Broncos the following off-season. After one productive season in Denver, injuries have limited Walker to just 41 receptions for 483 yards and one touchdown in 19 games over the last three seasons.
