Vikings Sign T Patrick Brown to the Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings have signed first-year offensive tackle Patrick Brown to their practice squad.

Brown (6-5, 310) went undrafted out of Central Florida in 2009, signing with the Carolina Panthers as a free agent. Waived by the Panthers last September, Brown had a brief stint on the New England Patriots' practice squad before spending the final 18 weeks of last season with the Vikings' practice squad.

Signed to a "Reserve/Futures" contract in January, Brown didn't make the 53-man roster and was waived in September. Claimed by the New York Jets, Brown spent two weeks on their 53-man roster before being waived and claimed by the Miami Dolphins, where he's spent the last seven weeks as a gameday inactive.

Miami waived Brown when they signed offensive tackle Matt Kopa off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.

Offensive lineman Andrew Gardner was released from the Vikings' practice squad to add Brown.
