Titans WR Kenny Britt Cleared to Practice

Tennessee Titans second-year wide receiver Kenny Britt skipped part of the team's off-season workout program and wasn't cleared to participate in the team's April mini-camp.

Britt is now in shape and tells Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean that he's learned his lesson.

"It definitely is a wake-up call," Britt said. "You come in and you think you are going to practice and you tape up and you are ready to go out there and coaches are like, 'Take it easy. We want to see where you’re at and don’t want you to pull anything like last year' when I pulled my hamstring. That’s something we don’t want to do again, where I sit out because of injury and get fat and have to drop weight again."

The 30th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Rutgers, Britt (6-4, 215) caught 42 passes for 701 yards and 3 touchdowns, and averaged 21.8 yards on 24 kick returns last season.

Britt's off-season got off to a rough start when he was arrested for traffic warrants on January 15, and drew criticism after posting $165,000 bail for a childhood friend who was charged with possession of a firearm used in connection with a murder.
