Titans CB Tye Hill Injures Hamstring

Injuries in the secondary hurt the Tennessee Titans during the 2009 regular season, and the 2010 off-season is providing little relief. Yesterday came word that veteran Rod Hood, who was signed as an injury replacement last October, tore an ACL last Friday and will miss the 2010 season.

Today, The Tennessean reports that Tye Hill, a former first-round pick by the St. Louis Rams who was signed during the off-season, could not finish Tuesday's practice due to a hamstring injury.

The severity of Hill's injury is unknown.

Hill and Hood's injuries leave the Titans with four cornerbacks on the off-season roster, including 2010 fourth-round pick Alterraun Verner, who is finally able to participate in the team's off-season workouts (UCLA operates on the "quarters" system), and who agreed to terms on a four-year contract earlier on Tuesday.
