Texans LB Brian Cushing Loses All-Pro Status

Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing gets to keep his 2009 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award, but he can no longer be considered an All-Pro, as Cushing received only one vote for the 2009 Associated Press All-Pro team during this week's re-vote.

Cushing received five All-Pro votes the first time around, ahead of Pittsburgh Steelers linebackers LaMarr Woodley (4) and James Harrison (3), Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs (3), Dallas Cowboys linebacker Anthony Spencer (1) and San Diego Chargers linebacker Shaun Phillips (1).

Who replaced Cushing on the re-vote is currently unknown.

With 21 AP voters changing their Defensive Rookie of the Year vote from Cushing, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that 4 of the 5 who voted him an All-Pro no longer saw fit to include him on the team during the re-vote.
