Tebow Will Be Second Quarterback

Denver Broncos first-round quarterback Tim Tebow will be listed as the team's #2 quarterback behind starter Kyle Orton, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Schefter adds that Tebow has been told that he will play on Sunday, with head coach Josh McDaniels installing a variety of packages to get him on the field early in his NFL career.

A 6-3, 236-pound quarterback from the University of Florida, Tebow completed 66.4% of his passes for 9,285 yards, with 88 touchdowns against only 18 interceptions. Tebow added 2,947 yards and an SEC-record 57 touchdowns on the ground. Between his passing and rushing yards, Tebow generated an SEC-record 12,232 yards of total offense during his 55-game career.

Tebow was a three-time first-team All-SEC selection, and was named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Tebow was the first sophomore in history to win the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore, and was a finalist for the award in each of the past two seasons.

He's also a Jacksonville, Florida native, and that had a lot to do with today's game at EverBank Field selling out.
