Still Awaiting Justin Smiley Physical

The Jacksonville Jaguars have finished practice, but head coach Jack Del Rio was not yet ready to announce the acquisition of guard Justin Smiley from the Miami Dolphins.

"When that deal is consummated, I’ll have something to add. If and when that deal happens, he’ll be added to the mix and given a chance to compete," Del Rio said of the Smiley trade, according to Vic Ketchman of Jaguars.com.

Smiley needs to pass a physical before the trade, which is believed to involve a 2011 seventh-round draft pick, can be completed. The Jaguars will also need to release a player from the 80-man off-season roster before they can add Smiley, who would be another veteran interior lineman competing for three starting jobs.

"It’s going to be competitive", Del Rio said of the interior line battle this off-season.
