Have to agree with Les Carpenter on this one. By signing Haynesworth and Hall to rediculous contracts, Dan Snyder has started back down the same road that he ventured down when he first bought the team - namely, throwing stupid money at name players without any kind of foundation in place underneath them.

Have to agree with Les Carpenter on this one. By signing Haynesworth and Hall to rediculous contracts, Dan Snyder has started back down the same road that he ventured down when he first bought the team - namely, throwing stupid money at name players without any kind of foundation in place underneath them.
That's what Snyder doesn't seem to understand - without a system in place to build up your talent base, you are never going to have the supporting cast to surround your marquee talent and build a consistent winner. This isn't the NBA where a Jordan or a Kobe can get you to the playoffs consistently. And even MJ needed a ceratin talent level around him to win his championships. The other cost of doing buisness this way is that you end up losing talented players already on your roster, which the Redskins most certianly did when they cut Shawn Springs today.
It certianly seems Snyder is more concerned with making headlines in March than in January....
