Seahawks Sign DT Quinn Pitcock

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports the Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent defensive lineman Quinn Pitcock.

Terms were not disclosed, and no official statement from the Seahawks has been made. Seattle will need to make a corresponding roster move to add Pitcock to their 80-man roster.

Pitcock, a third-round pick out of Ohio State by the Indianapolis Colts in 2007 who abruptly retired in July 2008, worked out for the Seahawks on Wednesday after the Colts waived him from their "Reserve/Did Not Report" list.

The 6-2, 299-pound Pitcock appeared in nine games as a rookie, making one start and totaling 18 tackles and 1.5 quarterback sacks.
