Seahawks DE Chris Clemons Fined $7,500

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Chris Clemons was fined $7,500, the league office announced on Friday.

Clemons' penalty does not stem from his unnecessary roughness penalty in the second quarter of Sunday's 33-3 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Instead, Clemons was fined for an unnecessary late hit on Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell.

No penalty flag was thrown on the play in question.

Clemons was previously fined twice for similar infractions, with both incidents occurring while he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
