Seahawks Confirm Bowen Signing; Announce Other Moves

The Seattle Seahawks confirmed the earlier report from FOXSports.com's Adam Caplan and announced the addition of linebacker Alvin Bowen.
In addition to Bowen, the Seahawks have also signed Nick Tow-Arnett, a 6-3, 242-pound fullback/tight end from the University of Minnesota. Tow-Arnett did have a carry during his college career, but caught 57 passes for 865 yards and four touchdowns for the Gophers, including 37 receptions for 505 yards and 3 scores in 2009.
Not coincidentally, Seahawks quarterback Jedd Fisch was the Gophers' offensive coordinator in 2009.
Tow-Arnett signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, but was cut after the Cowboys completed their off-season workouts on June 22.
To make room for Bowen and Tow-Arnett, the Seahawks waived undrafted rookie guard Adrian Martinez and "waived/injured" fullback Ryan Powdrell.
