Washington Redskins safety Reed Doughty broke a bone in his right hand on Wednesday, Jason Reid of the Washington Post reports.
"I'll be fine," Doughy told Reid, who adds that Doughty was fitted with a cast, and plans to continue participating in the off-season workouts.
A sixth-round pick out of Northern Colorado in 2006, Doughty has started 16 games over the last three seasons, totaling 176 tackles, 1 interception and 2.5 quarterback sacks. A restricted free agent this off-season, Doughty signed his one-year tender on May 26, and is scheduled to earn $1.759 million dollars in 2010.
The Redskins have four more OTA sessions scheduled (June 7-8, June 10-11), along with a three-day mandatory mini-camp from June 16-18.
