Washington Redskins guard Mike Williams has confirmed to Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan that he will miss the 2010 season after blood clots were discovered near his heart.

Via Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, Williams tells Russell that he's "not dead", and plans to return if/when doctors give him clearance to do so.

Williams is signed through 2011 after signing a two-year deal in March to remain with the Redskins, who signed the fourth overall pick of the 2002 NFL Draft after his two-year absence from professional football.
