Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth Facing $10M Paternity Suit

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth is facing a $10M paternity suit in Brooklyn Supreme Court, Page Six of the New York Post reports.

The suit was filed by Silvia Mena, a Brooklyn, New York exotic dancer who the Post describes as a Salma Hayek lookalike.

Mena, 25, claims she met Haynesworth in Miami last year, was romanced during Super Bowl week, and visited his home in Tennessee. Haynesworth allegedly promised to take care of her when she became pregnant, but she hasn't heard from him since late March.

The suit alleges that "Haynesworth has abandoned the pregnant Sylvia Mena...He has refused to provide any emotional or financial support of Silvia Mena or his unborn child."

"This man is worth millions," Salvatore Strazzullo, Mena's attorney, said. "She has had to apply for Medicaid to take care of her pregnancy."

Haynesworth signed a seven-year, $100 million dollar contract after the 2008 season, which included $41 million dollars in guarantees. Haynesworth earned over $11 million dollars in 2009, and received a $21 million signing bonus in March.
