The St. Louis Rams announced that they have waived five players.

Released today were third-year defensive end Sean Conover, and first-year cornerback Cord Parks, as well as undrafted rookies Freddie Harris (LB, Central Oklahoma), Jeromy Jones (S, Idaho), and Ernest Reid (DT, University of Mary).

Parks was an undrafted free agent in 2009 who spent most of his rookie season on the Rams' practice squad after averaging 22.7 yards on six kick returns, and 12.5 yards on two punt returns, during the pre-season. Conover, a 6-5, 275-pound journeyman from Bucknell, re-signed with the Rams in January after spending the final six weeks of the '09 season on their practice squad. Conover has previously spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Detroit Lions.

The Rams are now at 87 players on their off-season: 71 signed players, 5 unsigned exclusive rights free agents, and 11 unsigned 2010 draft picks.
