Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni will assume former head coach Wade Phillips' duties as the team's defensive coordinator for the remainder of the season.

Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was named the interim head coach.

A former head coach at Syracuse University, Pasqualoni coached the Cowboys' tight ends (2005) and linebackers (2006-07) before following Tony Sparano to the Miami Dolphins as defensive coordinator. Pasqualoni returned to the Cowboys this season after being fired by the Dolphins.
