Patriots Sign G Rich Ohrnberger to Active Roster

The New England Patriots have signed second-year guard Rich Ohrnberger off their practice squad, the team announced on Wednesday.

New England had an open roster spot after waiving offensive tackle Steve Maneri on Monday. Maneri cleared waivers and was re-signed to the practice squad, which also added offensive tackle Thomas Austin.

Ohrnberger was a fourth-round pick (123rd overall) out of Penn State by the Patriots in 2009, and was active for three games during his rookie season.

Austin (6-4, 310) is an undrafted rookie free agent out of Clemson who spent the pre-season with the Minnesota Vikings.
