Patriots LB Gary Guyton Fined $7,500

New England Patriots linebacker Gary Guyton has been fined $7,500 by the National Football League for his roughing the passer penalty last Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports the league determined that Guyton unnecessarily struck Vikings quarterback Brett Favre in the head/neck area, prompting the fine.

Between Guyton and the $7,500 that defensive lineman Myron Pryor was docked, Patriots defensive players were fined $15,000 for hits on Favre from last Sunday.
