Patriots Agree to Terms With 3rd Round WR Taylor Price

The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with third-round wide receiver Taylor Price, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that the four-year deal is worth $3.35 million dollars, a figure that likely includes a 2013 base salary escalation to the low restricted free agent tender. Price's signing bonus was likely in the vicinity of $730,000.

Price, a 6-1, 204-pound wide receiver from Ohio University, caught 149 passes for 2,019 yards and 14 touchdowns during a 52-game career for the Bobcats, primarily playing the "X" or flanker position. With legitimate 4.4 speed, Price can make an immediate impact as a kick returner, and has the vision and athleticism to be used in "Wildcat" packages.

Price is the second of the Patriots' 12 draft choices to agree to a contract, joining sixth-round center Ted Larsen, who signed a four-year contract last Tuesday.
