Panthers Place T Jeff Otah on IR

The Carolina Panthers have placed right tackle Jeff Otah on season-ending injured reserve, Darin Gantt of The Charlotte Observer reports.
A knee injury had kept the 2008 first-round pick from playing this season. Otah is the third Panthers projected starter to land on IR this week. On Monday, quarterback Matt Moore (shoulder) and middle linebacker Dan Connor (hip) were shut down for the season.
With running backs DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Tyrell Sutton ailing, the Panthers claimed running back Andre Brown off waivers and signed Josh Vaughan, who had agreed to join the Buffalo Bills' practice squad before detouring to the Panthers.
Linebacker Abdul Hodge has also re-signed with the Panthers after being waived after one week on the team.
