NFL Suspends Vincent Jackson for Three Games

San Diego Chargers restricted free agent wide receiver Vincent Jackson has been suspended three games by the National Football League for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports San Diego Chargers restricted free agent wide receiver Vincent Jackson has been suspended three games by the National Football League for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

Jackson has two DUIs on his record, and was cited for driving with a suspended driver's license while en route to the Chargers' Wild Card playoff loss to the New York Jets on January 17.

Jackson has yet to sign his restricted free agent tender, and reports out of San Diego are that he may not report until November. If Jackson plays this season under the one-year tender, which includes a $3.268 million dollar base salary, Jackson's three-game suspension will cost him $576,706 in salary.

The Chargers are open to trading Jackson, and the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, and Washington Redskins have been rumored to be interested in acquiring the 6-5, 230-pound Pro Bowl receiver. San Diego's price tag (two high-round picks, or one first-round pick) and Jackson's contract demands ($45M+), along with his multi-game suspension, are not factors that would entice a club to trade for him.
