Mike Martz Praises Jay Cutler

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz has high praise for quarterback Jay Cutler, even comparing him to a certain future Hall of Famer, Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"What we do really fits him," Martz said of Cutler. "He has that Kurt Warner awareness, if you will. He has such a keen sense of where everybody is at. He can see everything and can diagnose it without even thinking about it.

"We keep trying to challenge him with a lot of new things," Martz said. "Try to keep pressing the envelope. Then when we get back into the season, we'll come back and zero in each week."

No player has generated more negative e-mailt to my inbox over the last two years than Cutler. For my money, he's one of the most physically-talented passers in the game, and between Mike Martz's system, and young wideouts such as Devin Aromashodu, Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, and Earl Bennett, Cutler could be in for a huge season.
