LB Isaiah Ekejiuba Makes Free Agent Rounds

Free agent linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba visited with the Detroit Lions on Wednesday.

Free agent linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba visited with the Detroit Lions on Wednesday, Brad Biggs of the National Football Post reports.

Biggs adds that Ekejiuba, who was released by the Oakland Raiders on July 8, will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday and Friday, and has also drawn interest from the Cleveland Browns.

Ekejiuba began his NFL career in 2005 when the Arizona Cardinals signed for the former Virginia linebacker as an undrafted free agent. Waived by the Cardinals at the end of training camp, Ekejiuba landed in Oakland, appearing in 64 games over the last five seasons.

The 6-4, 240-pound Ekejiuba has 49 tackles during his career, with 46 coming on special teams. Ekejiuba has also forced and recovered a fumble on special teams, blocked a kick in 2008, and led the Raiders with 15 special teams tackles last season.
