Giants WR Domenik Hixon Tears ACL

New York Giants wide receiver Domenik Hixon's hyper-extended right knee on Tuesday has now been diagnosed as a torn ACL, Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon announced.
Hanlon adds that an MRI confirmed the tear, and that Hixon would undergo surgery in two-to-three weeks.
Hixon injured his knee when his foot was caught in the turf during a punt return drill during an afternoon practice in the team's new Meadowlands Stadium.
Hixon, 25, averaged 15.1 yards per punt return in 2009, returning one punt 79 yards for a touchdown in Giants' 31-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys last December. Hixon also averaged 22.6 yards per punt return and had 7 special teams tackles last season.
