Favre Expects to Start on Sunday

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre tells ESPN's Ed Werder that his ankle is feeling better, and that the 41-year old intends to start on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Favre missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but shed his walking boot and practiced on Friday.

Vikings head coach Brad Childress has been leaning towards starting Tarvaris Jackson, mentioning that Favre's 291-game starting streak will not be a factor in his decision for who starts against the Patriots.

The amount of money and leeway given to Favre this summer dictates that if he's healthy and wants to start, he'll do just that.
