Eagles G Max Jean-Gilles Signs RFA Tender

The number of Philadelphia Eagles restricted free agents still without a contract extension or signed tender has been reduced to one, as guard Max Jean-Gilles has signed his one-year tender, the team announced on Thursday.

A fourth-round pick (99th overall) out of Georgia in 2006, Jean-Gilles was tendered at the "Original Round" level, which comes with a $1.176 million dollar base salary in 2010.

The 6-3, 358-pound Jean-Gilles has started 16 of his 29 games with the Eagles, including five games last season. Jean-Gilles is expected to compete with Nick Cole and Stacy Andrews for the Eagles' starting right guard position in 2010.

Australian punter Sav Rocca is the lone Eagles restricted free agent who has not signed his tender.
