Eagles C Jamaal Jackson Has Torn Triceps

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid confirmed on Monday that center Jamaal Jackson has a torn triceps.

Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.

Jackson returned to action late in the 2010 pre-season after tearing an ACL in Week 17 of the 2009 season. With Jackson expected to miss the rest of the season, Mike McGlynn is expected to take over the starting center duties.

Reid also confirmed that fullback Leonard Weaver suffered a "very severe" tear of the ACL in his left knee and will have season-ending surgery on Tuesday, and that middle linebacker Stewart Bradley and quarterback Kevin Kolb sustained concussions.

Both Bradley and Kolb were allowed to return to the field after the plays they received their concussions, which may, and probably should, draw attention from the NFLPA and league office, which are placing a greater emphasis on concussion awareness.
