DeSean Jackson Is Happy in Philadelphia

Earlier this week, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was the subject of a Philadelphia Inquirer report that said Jackson was distracted by his contract situation.

After catching three passes for 84 yards in last night's 34-24 win over the Houston Texans, Jackson reiterated that's not the case.

"It’s funny man, honestly. It’s very interesting, the comments and what people say about me being unhappy or whatever the case may be," Jackson said according to Andy Schwartz of CSNPhilly.com. "To me, I’m the happiest person doing it. I have a bright future. Right now might not be so great, but as far as the picture down the road, it will be great for me.

"The biggest thing is, we’re winning. I’m in the NFL. I’m happy. I’m 24 years old. I just had a birthday yesterday. I’m happy. Just blessed."

Three-quarters of the way through the 2010 season, Jackson has 38 receptions for 762 yards and 5 touchdowns, improving his career totals to 163-2,841-16. Jackson is signed through the 2011 season, but the Eagles reportedly plan to adjust his contract when a new CBA is reached.

"I'm happy to be here. Never once was unhappy," Jackson said. "I know I have a bright future, so we'll leave it at that."
