Cowboys WR Miles Austin Agrees to 6-Year Extension

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin has agreed to terms on a six-year contract extension, reports Michael Lombardi of NFL.com.

Exact terms were not disclosed, but Lombardi reports Austin's new deal will be worth over $50 million.

An undrafted free agent from Monmouth, the 6-3, 214-pound Austin has 99 receptions for 1,674 yards and 14 touchdowns in 53 career games. Austin has also averaged 24.1 yards on 89 kick returns and totaled 13 tackles on special teams during his career.

Austin set career-highs in 2009, posting 81 receptions with a team-high 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl. A restricted free agent this off-season, the Cowboys placed the "First- and Third-Round" tender on him, which is set to pay him $3.168 million in base salary in 2010.
