Cowboys Make Room For Kris Brown

To push David Buehler in 2011, the Dallas Cowboys signed veteran free agent kicker Kris Brown on Thursday night.

In order to add Brown to the 53-man roster, linebacker Leon Williams (hamstring) has been placed on injured reserve, Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News reports.

A fourth-round pick (110th overall) in 2006 out of the University of Miami by the Cleveland Browns, the 6-3, 250-pound Williams signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys in January.

Williams dressed for 11 games, totaling 8 tackles, six of which coming on special teams.
