Colts Swap Practice Squad WRs

The Indianapolis Colts have swapped practice squad wide receivers, signing Kole Heckendorf and releasing Ray Small.

Heckendorf (6-2, 191) had been deleted from the San Diego Chargers practice squad earlier this week.

A first-year player from North Dakota State, Heckendorf caught three passes for 30 yards for the Green Bay Packers during the 2009 pre-season before spending much of 2009 on the Detroit Lions' practice squad.

Heckendorf went to training camp this season with the Seattle Seahawks, but did not catch a pass before he was released on August 30. Heckendorf had spent the last month with the Chargers.
