Colts S Bob Sanders to Visit Dr. Andrews

Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders will visit with Dr. James Andrews this week, Andrea Kremer of NBC Sports reports.

Sanders, sidelined with a biceps injury since the season-opener, hopes to receive clearance from the Birmingham, Alabama-based orthopedic surgeon to return to practice.

Despite suffering his second serious injury in two seasons, the Colts opted not to place the 2007 NFL Defensive Player of the Year on injured reserve. The 5-8, 206-pound Sanders has 290 tackles, 3.5 quarterback sacks, and 6 interceptions during his career, which has only included two seasons (2005, 2007) where he played more than six games.
