Chiefs Sign WR Verran Tucker
By admin
he Kansas City Chiefs announced the signing of undrafted rookie free agent wide receiver Verran Tucker.
Tucker (6-2, 194) played his college ball at Cal, and was released last week by the Dallas Cowboys, who signed him as an undrafted free agent during the off-season.
To make room for Tucker, the Chiefs have waived David Grimes, a first-year player who played for Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis at Notre Dame. Grimes (5-10, 177) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos, but was waived prior to last year's training camp.
The Chiefs had signed Grimes to a one-year contract in May, but he was fairly buried on the team's depth chart.
