Chiefs Re-Sign LB Charlie Anderson

The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed linebacker Charlie Anderson, the team announced on Tuesday.

Linebacker Mark Simoneau has been placed on injured reserve.

Anderson (6-4, 250) appeared in two games for the Chiefs earlier this season after spending the first six years of his NFL career with the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins. Anderson was signed to replace 2010 fifth-round pick Cameron Sheffield, who placed on injured reserve.

The Chiefs had released Anderson on Saturday when defensive back Ricky Price was elevated off the team's practice squad.

Simoneau signed with the Chiefs on October 27. After spending two weeks as a gameday inactive, Simoneau was active for Sunday's 49-29 loss to the Denver Broncos, recording one special teams tackle.
