Chargers Agree to Terms With 5th Round DT Cam Thomas

The San Diego Chargers have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with fifth-round nose tackle Cam Thomas, a league source said.
Thomas' four-year deal is worth $1.981 million dollars, with a signing bonus of just over $191,000.
A massive, run-stuffing defensive tackle at the University of North Carolina, the 6-4, 330-pound Thomas totaled 83 tackles, including 9 for a loss and 4 quarterback sacks.
Thomas will play nose tackle in the Chargers’ 3-4 defense. Between the Chargers opting to not re-sign veteran Jamal Williams, and releasing Ian Scott on June 21, Thomas has an excellent chance to start as a rookie.
Thomas is the fourth of the Chargers' six picks in the 2010 NFL Draft to sign or agree to terms on a contract.
