Buccaneers Sign TE Erik Lorig Off Practice Squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed tight end Erik Lorig off their practice squad, reports Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com.

A seventh-round pick (253rd overall) out of Stanford as a defensive end, Lorig was on the team's 53-man roster at the beginning of the season. The Buccaneers released him when Aqib Talib's one-game suspension came to end, and re-signed him to the practice squad as a converted tight end.

Lorig began his college career as a tight end, catching three passes for 21 before switching to defensive end after his freshman season.
