Buccaneers Re-Sign Johnson, Snead

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they have re-signed defensive end George Johnson and quarterback Jevan Snead.

Snead signed with the Buccaneers on April 26 after leaving Ole Miss early to enter to the 2010 NFL Draft. Johnson originally signed with the Buccaneers after a tryout during the team's post-draft mini-camp. The Buccaneers released Snead after signing first-round defensive tackle Gerald McCoy on July 31, while Johnson was waived on August 10.

Johnson replaces rookie Brandon Gilbeaux, who was "waived/injured" on Monday, while Snead adds an additional arm to training camp while starter Josh Freeman is unavailable after fracturing the tip of his right thumb.
