Broncos Sign WR Dicky Lyons

First-year free agent wide receiver Dicky Lyons has signed with the Denver Broncos, his agent, Scott Smith, tweeted this morning.

Terms of his contract were not disclosed.

Undrafted in 2009, Lyons (5-10, 192) caught 141 passes for 1,752 yards and 18 touchdowns during a 39-game career at the University of Kentucky. Lyons was injured six games into his senior year, tearing two ligaments (PCL, MCL) in his right knee, yet still led the Wildcats in receiving with 33 receptions for 264 yards.

Lyons also averaged 23.6 yards per kick return, and 9.5 yards per punt return, during his college career.

Lyons entered the NFL as undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons last August, and was participating in the Broncos' mini-camp this weekend on a tryout basis.
