Denver Broncos rookie safety Kyle McCarthy has been placed on injured reserve, Lindsay Jones of The Denver Post reports.

McCarthy, an undrafted free agent from Notre Dame, suffered a knee injury in first half of Sunday's 43-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

To fill his spot on the 53-man roster, the Broncos have signed wide receiver Britt Davis off the practice squad.
