Bengals RB Brian Leonard Gets Good Injury News

Cincinnati Bengals running back Brian Leonard's MRI on his left foot revealed no torn ligaments or bone fractures, reports Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

"I’ll be back this season. It will be a little bit of time but I’ll be healthy and ready to go," Leonard said. "I’ll be back pretty much when I feel good and ready to go. It’s going to be awhile and take some time. They don’t have a time frame set. Its how you feel and that’s what I’m going to base it off of.

"I don’t want to put a time frame on it because I really don’t know. It’s how my body reacts to it and when I get into rehab. If I feel good and in shape and I don’t have any pain cutting off it then I’ll be back out as soon as I can."

Leonard is expected to play a third-down/receiving back, as well as back-up fullback and core special teams player. Leonard injured his foot after catching an 8-yard pass in the second quarter of the Bengals' 16-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
