Bengals Place T.O. on IR

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that wide receiver Terrell Owens has been placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Owens has torn meniscus in his left knee which will require surgery that will be performed by Dr. James Andrews.

In his one season with the Bengals, the 37-year old Owens leads the team with 72 receptions for 983 yards and 9 touchdowns. Owens had three 100-yard games, including a 10-catch, 222-yard performance against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4.

Owens plans to continue his playing career in 2011, and will be a free agent in the off-season.

The Bengals did not announce who will be replacing Owens on the 53-man roster.
